What we’re looking for:

Nexamp is growing their Portfolio Operations team and seeking to hire a Director, Finance Operations. You will own the integrity, execution, and risk posture of post-close financing operations across the Nexamp portfolios. You will be accountable for orchestrating funding conditions precedent execution, lender reporting, and cross-functional operational readiness to support on-time funding and compliance. In this role you will be focused on post-close construction debt operations from legal close through substantial completion and transition into long-term ownership.

You will be hybrid out of our Boston, MA office. You will report to the VP, Portfolio Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead post-close financing operations across covered portfolios, serving as the single point of accountability for execution, risk visibility, and cross-portfolio prioritization.
  • Own the single source of truth for funding conditions precedent checklists, borrowing requirements, and integrated borrowing schedules across construction debt facilities and intersecting financing workstreams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery of conditions precedent (CP) packages, including project company documents, real estate materials, third-party reports, and regulatory or security items, ensuring quality and completeness before lender submission.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lender and tax equity investor reporting calendar, ensuring recurring and ad hoc deliverables are compiled, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Build forward-looking views of financing risk, including CP slippage, reporting deadlines, eligibility issues, and covenant pressures, and prepare concise issue summaries and recommended actions for decision-makers.
  • Partner with Transformation, Product & Technology, and data teams to improve tooling, dashboards, trackers, SOPs, RACIs, and playbooks that reduce cycle times and improve reliability at scale.
  • Build and lead a small, high-caliber Finance Operations team and establish operating rhythms that reinforce ownership, execution discipline, and continuous improvement across stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 10 years of experience in project finance, construction financing operations, portfolio operations, structured/asset finance, or similar roles in a financing-heavy environment, with at least 5 years of leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience running complex, multi-party financing or compliance processes.
  • Strong familiarity with strategic finance concepts, including capital structure, covenant packages, portfolio economics, and pro forma modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience building or refining processes, tools, and dashboards to manage recurring workflows at scale.
  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy, or other asset-heavy industries.
  • Familiarity with tax equity or other structured tax credit financing.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.

  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

Compensation

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $185,000 - $205,000. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company’s stock option plan. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.
